You could win a VIA Rail travel credit worth
$2000 valid for 12 months after its issuance. Non-transferable, no cash value, no extensions; subject to availability of seats. Ballot will be drawn at 4:00 pm on December 9, 2012 with representatives from the Christkindl Market in attendance. The name of the person whose ballot is drawn will be announced on December 9, 2012. The winner will be contacted by telephone on Monday December 10, 2012 before 5:00 pm. The person will have 48 hours to claim their prize. If that person does not claim their prize, another ballot will be drawn until a winner is found. Employees of VIA Rail and Christkindl Market and members of their family are not eligible to enter this contest. (Subject to change without notice.)
How to enter
Enter by completing a ballot at the Germany booth inside Kitchener's City Hall Rotunda during the Christkindl Market Festivities. Please make a donation to the Children's Wish Foundation. Draw will be held at Christkindl Market's Official Closing Ceremony. In 2011 Christkindl Market and The German National Tourist Office raised over $5,000 for The Children's Wish Foundation, Anne Boehm. Visit Children's Wish Foundation website for information about the wonderful things they do for children suffering from a life-threatening illness.
Draw
During our market, you can make a donation to the Children's Wish Foundation and complete your ballot at the Germany booth on the main floor of Kitchener's City Hall. Be sure to get your ballot into the drum by 3:30 pm on Sunday. Prizes are drawn at the Official Closing Ceremony on Sunday afternoon at about 4:00. Location is outside on the stage.
